What They Usually Will Not Take
Hazardous materials are the main exclusion. Paint, solvents, motor oil, propane tanks, pesticides and chemicals typically cannot go in a junk removal truck. Most companies also decline tires, medical waste and anything actively leaking. Construction debris like drywall, concrete and roofing shingles may or may not be accepted depending on the company and the volume.
How to Handle the Gray Area
If you are not sure whether something qualifies, the simplest move is to ask during the estimate. A photo or a short description usually gets a clear yes or no before the truck is even scheduled. Most items that seem questionable turn out to be fine.
One Load or Multiple Trips
A single truck load handles most residential cleanouts. If you have more than a truck can hold in one trip, the crew will tell you during the estimate and price accordingly. Knowing the volume upfront avoids surprises on pickup day.
